After the remarkable success of the three first editions of the African Conferences in Tribology in 2014, 2017 and 2022, we are happy to announce the 4th African Conference in Tribology (ACT 2023) that will be held in Yamoussoukro, Côte d'Ivoire, from April 24 to April 27, 2023.
This 4th ACT will focus on current and future tribological challenges to be addressed by both academic and industrial researchers to improve our future. Such challenges include the impact of tribology on human health, the environmental impact of tribology, etc. Once again, strong interactions between the academy and industries from all over the world are expected.
Consequently, the program committee cordially invites research ideas in (but not limited to) the following suggested range of subjects:
tribology in transportation
tribology in industry
tribology in the space environment
tribology in energy production
nano-scale tribology
local and global contact measurements
multi-scale and multi-physics modeling in tribology
smart tribology
…and others.
A satellite forum on health and digital researches will also take place where your contributions are welcome.
AN ACT OF HUMANISM AS SCIENTISTS TO HELP TEACHING DEVELOPMENT
As an associated theme to the scientific nature of this meeting, the organizers of the Congress would also like to emphasize the humanism of our tribology community.
We propose to aid in the development of elementary schools located near to the conference site.
Meeting participants are encouraged to contribute greatly valued but inexpensive educational items such as: pencils, notebooks, chalk, backpack, school supplies, etc. Of course, direct financial assistance would also be deeply appreciated.
